Job summary

Lincoln Motor Company seeks a Senior Technical Expert LL6 to lead the design and in-house manufacturing process for suspension structural components (stampings, castings, forgings) across Ford vehicles. You will drive DFMEA/PFMEA, GD&T, design for manufacturability, and process optimization with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in chassis structure design, strong analytical and leadership skills, and experience with CAE tools, DOE, and PPAP requirements.

Qualifications

• BS-Engineering degree required and 10+ years in chassis structural design.
• Experience with suspension structural components (stampings, castings, forgings) and launch.
• Ability to execute manufacturing, tooling feasibility, and PPAP in-house.
• Strong GD&T and DFMEA/PFMEA experience.
• Proficiency with CAE tools and manufacturing simulation.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house design and manufacturing process for suspension structural parts.
• Develop and maintain internal engineering foundation documents.
• Create and manage Level 2 technical materials (Process FMEAs, Control Plans, etc.).
• Lead DFM/ DFA reviews prior to tool kickoff.
• Drive process simulations to optimize structure.
• OK to tool process with BTP supplier.
• Test facility correlation and validation between Ford DV and PV.
• Develop GD&T for in-house designs and sign-off program prints.
• Support prototype development and data collection for capability.
• Lead DOE and process optimization trials.
• APQP plans, OK-To-Build/OK-To-Ship reviews, Gauge R&R.
• Lead root cause analysis (8D, JIRA) for issues.
