Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer for the Test Power Electronics team. You will review schematics, design test benches, and conduct verification tests for EV charging power electronics, working to ensure robustness and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have 3+ years in power electronics, hands-on hardware testing, and familiarity with automotive standards. This role is based on-site in Newark, CA, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in power electronics development and testing
• Solid understanding of power electronics fundamentals
• Hands-on hardware test and validation experience
• Familiar with lab equipment and test setups (scope, power supplies, hi-pot testers)
• Knowledge of automotive and industrial reliability standards (GMW, ISO, IEC)

Responsibilities

• Review electrical schematics and PCB designs; run test plans for EV charging power electronics
• Conduct verification tests ensuring compliance with requirements
• Analyze root-cause and drive R&D activities independently
• Design test benches with automation instrumentation and data acquisition systems
• Troubleshoot power electronics testing with lab equipment (scope, battery simulators, etc.)
• Communicate complex concepts clearly in written form
