Job summary

BMCHS is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician III in the Inpatient Pharmacy to deliver high quality patient care and to train Technicians I and II. The role requires Massachusetts registration and national CPT/exCPT certification, plus at least four years of related experience.

Responsibilities include pediatric IV and chemo IV compounding, and maintaining proficiency across inpatient pharmacy operations. A high school diploma is required, with an associate/bachelor degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; Associate/Bachelor degree preferred.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy.
• National certification (CPT) from PTCB or exCPT.
• Minimum of four years of related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, telephone communication skills, and pharmaceutical calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality patient-focused pharmacy services.
• Train and oversee Pharmacy Technicians I & II.
• Perform tasks in inpatient pharmacy operations and maintain competency across departments.
• Possess IV room competency for Pediatric IV and Chemo IV.
