Job summary
BMCHS Inpatient Pharmacy is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician II to join the inpatient team in Boston, MA. The role includes preparing and distributing sterile and non-sterile medications, maintaining sterile areas, operating automated systems, ensuring accurate records, and supporting patient care under a pharmacist.
The position requires 1-2 years of pharmacy technician experience and relevant licenses or certifications (PTCB or exCPT).
Qualifications
- Requires a high school diploma (or state accepted equivalency).
- Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Board of Pharmacy or have a Massachusetts Pharmacy Intern License.
- Must be Certified by a Board approved credentialing program, PTCB or exCPT. Pharmacy Interns are not required to hold CPhT certification.
- Work requires 1-2 years pharmacy technician experience. Prior experience with sterile (IV) compounding is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and distributing sterile and non-sterile medications.
- Maintaining sterile products areas and inventory.
- Operating pharmacy automated technology systems and maintaining records.
- Providing customer service and training staff under supervision.
