Vallencourt Construction Company Inc. is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to ensure accurate, on-time payroll processing in a on-site role.

You will handle hours, wages, deductions, and tax withholdings while maintaining records and complying with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities include year-end reporting, certified payroll for government contracts, and collaboration with HR and Accounting on benefits deductions and GL entries.

Qualificações

• Work location on-site; no remote opportunity.
• 5+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Certified payroll experience required — Davis-Bacon on government contracts.
• Proficiency with payroll software such as Foundation or HRHQ.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax laws and wage/hour regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsabilidades

• Process weekly payroll for all employees with accurate hours, wages, deductions, and garnishments.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records (new hires, terminations, pay changes).
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies; process year-end reporting (W-2s, ACA/1095-C) and audits.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for government/public-works contracts per prevailing wage requirements.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee data.
• Coordinate with HR and Accounting on benefits deductions, PTO accruals, and general ledger entries.
• Support HR with ad hoc tasks and stay current on payroll laws.
