Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to deliver specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role includes evaluation, custom splinting, and developing recovery plans within an outpatient setting.

The candidate should have 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab, current PT/OT licensure, and CPR/BLS. Prefer CHT and OT/PT program background with hands-on orthotic fabrication experience.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Current state PT or OT license (CHT preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OTAs, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals; participate in care planning.
