Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehabilitation. The role includes patient evaluation, custom splinting, and developing recovery plans within an interdisciplinary care team.

The candidate should have 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab, an OT/PT license, and CHT certification, with CPT guidance for post-surgical and injury rehab. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy
• Current state PT or OT license
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care
• Provide hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder therapy
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services
• Directs and supervises activities of OT assistants, students and support personnel
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions
