Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential; CPR/BLS certification.

Aufgaben

• Assess and evaluate patients; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions suitable for age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; manage scars, edema, wounds, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists and others; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
