Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced engineer to support commercial engine certification activities and substantiation for active programs. You will collaborate with certification specialists, CIPTs, and other disciplines to ensure successful certification activities and post‑certification design changes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8 years of engineering experience (or an advanced degree with 5 years), and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • 8 years of engineering experience or an advanced degree with 5 years experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the commercial engine certification process for active programs including the NGPF programs.
  • Collaborate with certification specialists, CIPTs, other systems disciplines to support substantiation plans and reports for engine certification activity.
  • Track certification deliverables through the certification process and coordinate with SIPTs.
  • Lead validation projects via the FAA for certified products through foreign regulators.
  • Potentially qualify as an FAA-delegated unit member to support engine programs.
  • Travel is up to 10%.
