Job summary

Volkert Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking experienced Senior level and entry level CEI Inspectors to support the Southeast Region.

Inspectors will assist Project Engineers by performing roadway and bridge construction inspections, materials testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with plans and specs. Responsibilities include field measurements, reporting, and coordinating with the Project Administrator to ensure quality and progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in construction inspection, with at least one year in bridge and/or roadway construction.
• Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering Degree.

Responsibilities

• Make and check construction related computations.
• Inspect construction work and monitor on-site activity.
• Conduct field tests, sampling materials, and verify work meets plans and standards.
• Write daily inspection reports, perform verification testing, and document results.
• Assist in record keeping and field measurements as needed.
• Work under general supervision of the Project Administrator.
