Volkert Inc. is seeking experienced Senior and entry level CEI Inspectors for the Southeast Region, based in Atlanta, GA. The roles support Project Engineers and Project Administrators by performing roadway and bridge inspections, materials testing, and documenting compliance with plans and specs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years in construction inspection; one year in bridge/roadway work.
• Engineer Intern status with Civil Engineering degree required.
• F/CON, WECS, GSWCC Level 1A and Advanced Traffic Control certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make and check construction related computations.
• Inspect construction work and monitor on-site activity.
• Conduct field tests, sample materials, verify work meets plans and specs.
• Write daily inspection reports and document test results.
• Assist in record keeping and field measurements as needed.
• Work under general supervision of the Project Administrator.
