Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. in Orlando, FL seeks a Sr. CEI Inspector to ensure contractor work meets project design specs and FDOT/client quality standards, including measurements, payment verification and documentation.

You will supervise lower-level inspectors, perform complex field surveying, layout, and tests, and report progress via field reports and weekly meetings. Travel and weather exposure may be required, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years FDOT experience on CEI projects (soil, concrete, steel, and bridges).
• FDOT project administration methods and processes incl. MAC, BlueBeam, Hummingbird and Site Manager.
• CTQP Certification in Asphalt, Concrete, Earthwork, pile driving and drilled shafts.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex field surveying, construction layout, and field tests.
• Check engineering computations and inspect construction work.
• Coordinate and manage lower-level inspectors.
• Report field activity and progress via field reports and weekly meetings.
