Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. is seeking a CEI Inspector to provide field observation, testing, and measurement services during the construction phase of roadway and structure projects in Orlando, FL.

The inspector will work with a team to observe, measure, test, and document work performed by contractors, ensuring conformance to plans and specifications. The role requires 2+ years in construction inspection (1+ year in bridge/roadway inspection), CTQP certification, and proficiency with MAC,

Qualifications

• Must have two (2) years of related experience in construction inspection; one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
• Understanding of FDOT construction project administration methods and processes including training in MAC, BlueBeam, Hummingbird and Site Manager programs.
• CTQP Certification in Asphalt, Concrete, Earthwork, pile driving and drilled shafts are required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies, and document measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, testing and material sampling services for conformance to plans and specifications for roadways, structures, and specialty items.
• Observe, measure, and record construction quantities for contractor payments.
• Operate field measurements and documentation using field books and survey equipment.
• Maintain safety and operational standards while working in various conditions.
