Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. is seeking a Sr. CEI Inspector to ensure contractor work meets project designs and FDOT/Client quality standards.

The role includes field surveying, calculations, inspections, and coordinating lower-level inspectors. You will report progress via field reports and weekly meetings. The position requires 4+ years FDOT CEI experience, CTQP certifications, and proficiency with MAC, BlueBeam, Hummingbird, and Site Manager.

Qualifications

• 4+ years FDOT experience specific to CEI project activities (soil, concrete, steel, and bridges).
• Understanding of FDOT construction project administration methods and processes including MAC, BlueBeam, Hummingbird and Site Manager programs.
• CTQP Certification in Asphalt, Concrete, Earthwork, pile driving and drilled shafts are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly complex technical assignments in field surveying, construction layout, and checking engineering computations.
• Inspect construction work and coordinate field tests.
• Coordinate and manage lower-level inspectors and report field activity to Project Manager/Administrator.
• Conduct field measurements and calculations and provide timely field reports.
