Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. is seeking a CEI Inspector to provide field observation, testing and measurement services during the construction phase.

You will work with the project team, client, engineer, contractor, and regulators to document progress, quality and conformance to plans. The role requires two years of related inspection experience, CTQP certification, and the ability to read drawings and operate survey equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies and/or conflicts, solve problems and develop documentation.
• Ability to utilize survey equipment to verify field measurements and survey grades during construction, including GPS Rovers and Base systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide field observation, testing and measurement services as liaison with project stakeholders during construction.
• Observe, measure, and document progress, quality, and quantity of work performed by the contractor.
• Perform inspection, testing and material sampling for conformance to plans and specifications for roadways, structures and earthwork.
• Record field measurements and calculations in field books for review by engineers, clients, or auditors.
