Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. seeks a CEI Inspector to provide field observation, testing, and measurement services during construction. You will liaise with clients, engineers, contractors, and regulators while documenting progress and quantities for payments.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate measurements, and teamwork on roadway, structure, and specialty items. Requirements include a high school diploma, two years of related inspection experience (one year in bridges/roadways), FDOT methods

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Two years of related experience in construction inspection, with at least one year in bridge/roadway inspection.
• FDOT project administration knowledge and training in MAC, BlueBeam, Hummingbird, Site Manager.
• CTQP Certification in Asphalt, Concrete, Earthwork, pile driving and drilled shafts is required.

Responsibilities

• Observe, measure, and document progress of work per plans and specs.
• Perform inspection, testing and material sampling for conformance to contract.
• Record quantities in field books for contractor payments and review by engineers and auditors.
