Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking a CDI Manager to lead the clinical documentation integrity program for GME and medical staff education. This on-site role focuses on concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient records to ensure accurate documentation and compliant reimbursement for acute care services.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license with at least 2 years of acute care experience and CDI familiarity, plus knowledge of the Prospective Payment System and DRG optimization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care clinical experience for RN candidates; CDI experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Prospective Payment System and DRG assignment is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day CDI program operations for GME and medical staff education.
• Perform concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient records to ensure accurate documentation and appropriate reimbursement.
• Communicate findings and provide education to physicians to reflect patient severity and risk.
