Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking an experienced CDI leader RN to manage day-to-day operations of the Clinical Documentation Integrity Program for GME and medical staff education. You will perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient records to ensure accurate documentation and compliant reimbursement for acute care services.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license with 2+ years in acute care and 1+ year in CDI, and possess PPS/DRG knowledge; certifications and management experience

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing; a bachelor's degree in nursing preferred or a graduate of a domestic/international school of medicine.
• Registered Nurse with a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting; 1-year CDI experience; knowledge of PPS and DRG.
• Domestic/International Medical Graduate: 1-year CDI experience; management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day workflow of the Clinical Documentation Integrity Program for GME and medical staff education.
• Provide concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient records to evaluate utilization and documentation of acute care services.
• Facilitate physician documentation to accurately reflect severity of illness and risk of mortality; ensure compliant reimbursement.
