Job summary

Bay Area Rapid Transit seeks a Principal Integration Engineer to lead CBTC and train-control integration across systems, ensuring safe, reliable operation. You will guide both requirements and design through installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support.

The role requires senior leadership, coordination across multidisciplinary teams, and strong communication skills to mentor staff and partner with Operations Control Center and external vendors.

Qualifications

Advanced CBTC and railway signaling knowledge.
Experience leading Train Control requirements, design, interface management, and system integration.
Experience integrating CBTC with conventional Train Control and operations systems.
Experience investigating incidents and performing root-cause analysis.
Ability to lead complex engineering work and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Strong technical-writing, communication, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

Lead integration of CBTC with train control and related systems.
Coordinate testing activities including lab and field testing.
Review technical materials and manage system interfaces.
Mentor engineering team members and collaborate with stakeholders.
