Placements24 is seeking a Senior Catering Manager to oversee all catering operations for events around George. You will manage client relationships, coordinate logistics, supervise staff and ensure exceptional food and service for high-profile events.

The role requires a strong hospitality background, attention to detail, and a proven track record in event management and client satisfaction across the Western Cape region.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Catering Manager to oversee all catering operations for events in and around George . This key role involves managing client relationships, coordinating event logistics, supervising catering staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food and service. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of the hospitality industry, and a proven track record in event management and client satisfaction. You will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our client's reputation for excellence in catering services across the Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of catering events, from initial client consultation and proposal development to execution and post-event follow-up.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and exceeding expectations for their events.
• Supervise, train, and schedule catering staff, ensuring professional service delivery and adherence to company standards.
• Oversee menu planning and beverage selections in collaboration with the culinary team, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage event budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability for all catered functions.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all aspects of catering operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management , hospitality, or catering management.
• Proven experience in client relationship management and sales within the catering or hospitality sector.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, menu planning, and event logistics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and work effectively under pressure.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the George region and surrounding areas as needed.
