Job summary

Montage Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Meetings & Events Catering Sales Manager to drive catering revenue by soliciting new business and nurturing strong client relationships. You will oversee proposals, contracts, and coordination from sale to event delivery, ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Ideal candidates have catering or event sales experience, luxury hotel exposure, and strong communication and organizational skills to meet quarterly and yearly goals in a bustling hospitality

Qualifications

• Previous Catering or Event Sales experience strongly preferred.
• Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree
• Familiarity with food and beverage basics, menu planning and private/group event coordination
• Ability to effectively communicate with guests, management, and co-workers
• Knowledge of current event trends
• Computer proficiency and ability to work with Delphi, Excel and Microsoft Office programs

Responsibilities

• Handle inquiry calls, proposals, negotiations, and contracts according to departmental procedures.
• Schedule site inspections and assist walk-in clients to ensure a positive impression.
• Sell event and private dining space using departmental policy and procedures.
• Actively prospect for new corporate and social catering business and maintain existing relationships with current accounts.
• Develop a sales strategy for achieving quarterly and yearly goals.
• Meet weekly, monthly and quarterly solicitation goals.
• Create and distribute clear turnover documents; notate events in Delphi.
• Support Servicing Manager on site to build client relationships.
• Resolve guests concerns with business acumen and discretion.
• Foster collaboration with hotel departments for a seamless client experience.
