Job summary

Advantage Solutions in Charlotte, NC seeks a Category Insights Senior Analyst to serve as a key analytics resource for national clients with $20M+ in retail sales. You will collaborate with Category Analytics & Insights and sales teams to diagnose business problems and drive growth.

You will gather data from NIQ, Circana and internal sources, produce ad hoc and standardized reports, and mentor junior analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Category Management certification a plus
• 3–5 years of CPG or retail data analytics experience
• Ability to turn data into actionable insights and communicate clearly
• Proficiency with data visualization & reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau/Looker)

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Insights: monitor business and provide actionable market data
• Trade & Pricing: analyze retail trade and promotional pricing effects
• Business Reviews & Market Assessments: develop line reviews and customer selling stories
• Project Management: manage schedules, coordinate activities, resolve issues
• Client/Customer Partnership: build strong relationships and translate insights into recommendations
