Job summary

Acrisure is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President of Catastrophe Modeling in Melbourne, FL to lead analytics for reinsurance clients. The role combines hands‑on modeling with client advisory, portfolio management, and strategic initiatives within a high‑impact team.

The AVP will drive analyses, coordinate project delivery, mentor junior staff, and translate complex results into actionable business insights for brokers and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or related discipline.
• 5+ years in catastrophe modeling analytics within insurance/reinsurance.
• Strong knowledge of catastrophe modeling platforms (Moody's RMS, Verisk).
• Ability to translate model results into business insights for clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate catastrophe modeling analyses across major natural perils.
• Run analyses using RMS, Verisk, or proprietary models with proper assumptions and QC.
• Interpret metrics like AAL, PML, EP curves, loss distributions.
• Communicate model drivers and uncertainties to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support client meetings, renewals, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Coordinate workflows and mentor junior staff in catastrophe modeling.
