Acrisure Re is seeking a Vice President of Catastrophe Modeling in New York, NY (Hybrid) to lead analytic work, guide risk insights for clients, and mentor a team of catastrophe modelers. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, engineering, mathematics, or related field.
• 8+ years in catastrophe modeling or risk analytics with leadership experience.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial catastrophe modeling platforms, preferably Moody's RMS and Verisk.
• Ability to translate model outputs into clear business insights.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, GIS or other analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead catastrophe modeling and portfolio risk analyses across major natural perils.
• Oversee modeling using RMS, Verisk, and other models with quality control.
• Analyse and interpret key catastrophe risk metrics and model results.
• Mentor catastrophe modeling staff and maintain analytical quality standards.
• Collaborate with brokers, clients, actuaries, and data science teams to enhance tools and solutions.
• Support new business opportunities and client proposals.
