Job summary

Acrisure Re is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President of Catastrophe Modeling to join our Catastrophe Modeling team in a hands-on, client-facing role. You will deliver catastrophe risk analytics, support portfolio management, and contribute to strategic initiatives.

The role collaborates with brokers, clients, and actuarial professionals to develop analyses, coordinate delivery, and translate results into actionable business insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, engineering, math or related field.
• 5+ years in catastrophe modeling and analytics within insurance or reinsurance.
• Experience with RMS and/or Verisk platforms and catastrophe modeling concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate catastrophe modeling and portfolio risk analyses across major natural perils.
• Run analyses using Moody's RMS, Verisk, and other models, with proper QC.
• Interpret metrics like AAL, PML, EP curves, and loss distributions.
• Coordinate projects and provide day-to-day guidance to junior staff.
• Present analyses and recommendations to brokers, clients, and leadership.
