Norfolk & Dedham | Union Mutual Insurance Group is seeking a seasoned casualty claims professional to lead and manage a complex auto and general liability caseload in Massachusetts. The role includes mentoring junior team members, analyzing policies for accurate coverage determinations, and leveraging internal and external resources to investigate loss facts and deter fraud.

You will help set reserves and advise on expenses, while monitoring vendor costs.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience handling bodily injury claims.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong learning mindset; quickly adapting to new systems, processes, and claim practices.
• Solid interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and collaborate in a team environment.
• Familiarity with multi-state claims regulations a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Aufgaben

• Managing a more complex caseload of automobile liability claims and general liability claims.
• Mentoring more junior members of the Casualty Team
• Analyzing insurance policies and contracts to ensure accurate coverage determinations
• Utilizing internal and external resources to investigate facts of loss with the purpose of accurately documenting liability and to rule out fraud
• Creating appropriate reserves and expense recommendations for management when appropriate
• Monitoring vendor usage and controlling expense costs
