Davies North America is seeking a Bodily Injury Adjuster for the Norfolk, VA area. This full‑time, home‑based role will handle third party General Liability, Auto Liability, E&O, and Law Enforcement claims involving bodily injury, with occasional travel for client meetings, CEU seminars, and inspections.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Possession of Adjuster license.
• Maintain CEU credits for Adjuster license.
• Excellent knowledge of Tort Law, bad faith procedures and case law, as well as principles of liability and medical terminology.
• Previous experience with settling bodily injury claims.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proactive, independent, dependable, and takes initiative with consistent follow through.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills conducted in a timely manner with diverse audiences.
• Superior time management skills with capability of working with and meeting deadlines.
• Exceptional capability to multi-task and prioritize with excellent organization and documentation skills in a fast‑paced work environment.
• High level attention to detail with ability to utilize decision making and problem‑solving skills.
• Capable of working collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
• Exhibit discretion with sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as outlined in the adjuster role and support claims workflows.
• Review workflow reminders and ensure timely completion within 72 hours.
• Review new claim assignments within 24 hours and Plan of Action.
• Contact insured/claimant within 24 hours of assignment.
• Coordinate appraisers and estimates per client guidelines.
• Gather evidence and interview claimants or witnesses as needed.
• Obtain payment authorization per guidelines and Davies policy.
• Follow client guidelines for denials and communicate with clients.
• Record all communications in the claim system notes accurately.
• Ensure compliance with CEU requirements and licensure rules.
• Maintain a high 95% claim closure ratio and timely client reporting.
