Job summary

Davies North America is seeking a Bodily Injury Adjuster for the Norfolk, VA area. This full-time, remote role involves adjusting third‑party General Liability, Auto Liability, and related bodily injury claims, with occasional travel for meetings and inspections.

You’ll review claims, gather evidence, interview claimants, and coordinate with appraisers and defense counsel while maintaining a high standard of ethics and client service.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Possession of Adjuster license.
• Maintain CEU credits for Adjuster license.
• Excellent knowledge of Tort Law and liability principles.
• Experience settling bodily injury claims.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management.
• Able to work independently and with teams.
• Discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Manage bodily injury and related liability claims in accordance with client guidelines.
• Review workflow reminders and ensure timely progress within 72 hours.
• Contact insured/claimant within 24 hours of assignment.
• Gather evidence and obtain statements.
• Coordinate appraisers and estimates per guidelines.
• Maintain professional communication with clients.
• Collaborate with defense counsel as needed.
• Meet continuing education requirements.
• Maintain 95% claim closure ratio.
• Report to Excess carrier when required.
