Rutgers University is seeking an Accounting Supervisor II, Cash for the Payment Center within Student Accounting, Billing and Cashier Services in Piscataway, NJ. The role reports to the Payment Center Manager and oversees daily cash processing, staffing, and internal controls to ensure accurate student payments for Rutgers-New Brunswick and Rutgers Health.

Responsibilities include training staff, resolving complex payment issues, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of accounting/finance experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of financial systems and standard computer applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the Payment Center, including student payments and cash/ACH processing.
• Provide work direction and training to Payment Center staff.
• Monitor accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with policies and controls.
• Resolve complex payment issues and support cross-functional research with other units.
• Prepare cash journals with proper documentation and support.
