Alpaca is seeking a Senior Cashiering Operations Associate to own client money movement across ACH, wires, RTP, checks, and journals. You will strengthen controls, ensure timely processing, and act as a primary liaison with custodians and banking partners in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in financial services, brokerage operations, banking, or cashiering.
• Direct experience processing money movements (ACH, wires, checks, journals, RTP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own and strengthen controls across money movement workflows in line with policies and regulatory expectations.
• Review, validate, and approve client money movement requests (ACH, wires, RTP, checks, journals).
• Process and release transactions accurately within SLAs; reconcile daily cash movements.
• Monitor, resolve exceptions, returns, and transaction discrepancies; support audits.
• Collaborate with custodians and banking partners; prepare daily/monthly operational reports.
