Redwood Logistics LLC in Chicago, IL seeks an Experienced Carrier Sales and Operations professional to source, develop and manage strong carrier relationships, negotiate freight rates, and ensure optimal profitability and service across North America. You will join Redwood Multimodal, report to the Director of Training, and work in a full-time hybrid schedule after training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven success in a Carrier Sales position within the logistics industry.
• Excellent communication, networking, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven.

• Flexible; ability to change focus quickly to meet market conditions and company needs.

Responsibilities

• Leverage knowledge of transportation industry within carrier sales and Redwood operations.
• Build and maintain strategic carrier profiles through research and networking.
• Engage carrier partners via phone, targeting 80+ dials per day.
• Negotiate freight rates to motor carriers to maximize profitability.
• Coordinate customer freight with carrier equipment and internal postings.
• Provide service and support to motor carriers to strengthen relationships.
• Resolve issues timely to maintain Redwood’s customer service standards.
• Track and monitor shipments to address delays during transit.
• Verify freight charges and resolve payables discrepancies before payment.
