Job summary

HUB International is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join its SPG Cargo & Logistics Claims & Recoveries team in the United States. You will investigate, evaluate, and manage cargo and transportation-related insurance claims, coordinating with insureds, brokers, surveyors, and legal counsel to drive timely resolutions.

The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to interpret policies and apply coverage concepts across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of insurance claims-handling experience.
• Strong ability to independently investigate and resolve complex claims.
• Deep understanding of policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
• Experience coordinating investigations with insureds, brokers, and experts.
• Active adjuster licenses in applicable jurisdictions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate and manage cargo and transportation-related claims.
• Evaluate damages, establish reserves, and pursue salvage or subrogation.
• Review bills of lading, contracts, and other supporting documents.
• Coordinate with insureds, brokers, surveyors, and legal counsel.
• Negotiate settlements in line with policy terms and authority.
• Prepare coverage analyses and claim recommendations.
