Job summary

TM Claims Service Inc. is seeking a Senior Adjuster to manage end-to-end general cargo claims in the United States.

You will review, negotiate, and settle claims, reserve adequately, and coordinate with insureds, brokers, and surveyors, ensuring compliant and timely processing. The role requires five years of marine claims experience (General Cargo), strong communication, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Minimum five years' experience in marine claims with emphasis in General Cargo.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and evaluate general cargo claims for approval and settlement within designated authority limits.
• Exercise discretion in all phases of claims handling, including coverage analysis and liability assessment.
• Initiate and maintain direct communication with Claimants, Brokers, and Surveyors.
• Coordinate and arrange third-party inspections and damage surveys.
• Assign claims to approved subrogation vendors and monitor progress.
• Accurately reserve claims and ensure timely data entry into internal systems (VITAL Cloud/TED).
