Job summary

People Inc. (NY) is seeking a Senior Residential Supervisor support role to supervise direct care staff during absences, guide shifts, and ensure residents receive daily living supports aligned with individual goals.

The role involves supervising activities, coordinating meals and personal care, administering medications, ensuring safety, and maintaining accurate records while collaborating with families and the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• SCIP-R certification preferred or required by regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Lifting 35 lbs and physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct care staff in the absence of Senior Residential Supervisor and provide oversight on designated shifts.
• Schedule and oversee tasks/activities for residents and staff.
• Assist with staff development, coaching and corrective action.
• Instruct and supervise daily living activities including meal planning, hygiene, and personal belongings.
• Promote communication with individuals, families, advocates, employees and the community.
• Administer medication and complete health-related forms.
• Safely transport individuals to activities and appointments.
• Maintain confidential and accurate records; report incidents and support quality improvement.
• Help develop and monitor program plans and ensure a safe environment.
• Schedule and participate in monthly fire drills.
