Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Cook for Rosewalk Village in Indiana. You will follow recipes and prepare meals that meet residents’ nutritional needs, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

You’ll lead kitchen tasks, assemble trays, and ensure clean, organized work areas throughout meal service. The role is full-time, with opportunities for advancement in a supportive senior-care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or 1–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling (not always required). Certifications can be earned while employed with ASC.
• Preferred: Prior institutional/healthcare service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food meeting residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, nutritious meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage of supplies.
