Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 years related experience.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification.
• Preferred: Prior Institutional/Healthcare service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food that meets residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, nutritious meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage.
• Maintains a clean food service work area during preparation and service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food supplies per procedures and regulations.
