Job summary

American Senior Communities in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. You will follow recipes, prepare meals that meet residents' nutritional needs, and ensure high standards of sanitation and food safety in a resident-centered dining program.

You will lead kitchen tasks, collaborate with staff, maintain a clean work area, and help with stocking and storage while complying with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years related experience or training or equivalent.
• Sanitation/ Safe Food Handling certification preferred if required by agencies.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food that meets residents' nutritional needs.
• Cooks attractive, nutritious meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation and storage.
• Maintains a clean food service area during service.
• Handles and stores food in compliance with procedures and regulations.
