Job summary

Countryside Meadows in Avon, IN is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare and serve meals that meet residents’ nutritional needs, follow recipes and menus, and uphold the highest sanitation standards in a healthcare setting.

You will also lead kitchen tasks, assist with tray assembly, and collaborate with staff to ensure smooth meal service. A High School diploma or GED is required, and ServeSafe certification is preferred or obtainable while employed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• ServeSafe Certification preferred; may be obtained after hire if required by regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares meals meeting residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks attractive, nutritionally adequate meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food prep, tray assembly, cleaning and storage tasks.
• Maintains a clean, safe food service work area during preparation and service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food in compliance with procedures and regulations.
