Commonwealth Senior Living in Hebron, CT is seeking a Full-time Resident Care Associate (RCA) to support seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care, assisting with daily activities, maintaining individualized care plans, and documenting services to preserve dignity and quality of life.

The RCA will act as a Culture Ambassador, delivering compassionate care within a team, fostering a safe, homelike environment.

Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and a desire to serve; prior experience not required.
• Ability to fulfill both the physical and emotional needs of residents.
• CNA or HHA required.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain according to company policy.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, to ensure resident care and services.
• Demonstrates sincere compassion and genuine concern for the well‑being of seniors and their families.
• Proficient in using basic office equipment, including personal computers, to maintain high job performance.
• Aligns with Commonwealth Senior Living's mission of improving the lives of seniors, their families, and each other.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks, communicating care needs with the Resident Care Director.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Make routine rounds to meet needs per individualized care plans.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using proper body mechanics.
• Document daily care activities per policy and standards.
• Report resident issues promptly to supervisors.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff per policies.
• Familiarize with residents' care plans and provide support accordingly.
• Contribute insights to care planning by sharing observations.
• Interact respectfully with residents, families, and team to foster a homelike environment.
• Provide physical, emotional, and psychosocial support.
• Adhere to residents' rights and report incidents.
• Implement safety and infection control procedures.
• Attend required training and staff meetings.
• Maintain regular communication with the Resident Care Director.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
