Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Associate (RCA) to assist seniors in Assisted Living/Memory Care. You’ll support daily activities, follow individualized care plans, document services, and foster a respectful, homelike environment.

Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and a desire to serve; prior experience not required.
• Ability to fulfill both the physical and emotional needs of residents.
• Direct-Care certification or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain per policy.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Demonstrates compassion and genuine concern for seniors and families.
• Proficient with basic office equipment.
• Aligns with Commonwealth Senior Living's mission.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate with the Resident Care Director about care and changes.
• Help residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment to prevent accidents.
• Conduct routine rounds to meet resident needs per care plan.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using safe body mechanics.
• Maintain skin integrity and prevent ulcers by assisting incontinent residents.
• Document daily care activities per policy and standards.
• Report resident issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff per policy.
• Know residents' care plans and provide appropriate support.
• Share observations to inform care planning.
