Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Senior Practice Manager to independently manage and coordinate care delivery across multi-physician practices. The role supervises front desk, business transactions, clinical support, compliance and patient service while maximizing revenue through efficient and compliant procedures.

Qualifications

• Five years of clinical healthcare experience, of which at least two years must have been in a managerial role.
• High School diploma or equivalent education (GED, homeschool equivalency, etc.).
• Preferred: Practice Management Certification

Responsibilities

• Manages daily activities of department staff and supervises front desk, business transactions, clinical support, compliance, safety and customer service.
• Guides staffing decisions, budget adherence, and staff development including coaching and performance evaluations.
• Conducts regular department meetings; communicates policies and operational matters and provides timely guidance to staff.
• Drives service standards to improve patient satisfaction and collaborates with physicians and system leadership.
• Maintains safe, compliant workflow and monitors accreditation/government regulations as applicable.
• Leads process improvements and staffing actions to maximize provider schedules and patient flow.
