Job summary

AFFIRM is seeking a Compliance Manager to own compliance advisory for the AFFIRM Card program. You’ll make independent, risk-based decisions across marketing, onboarding, and disputes, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ship compliant card features.

You will lead root‑cause analysis, support regulatory exams, maintain risk assessments, and develop training for Card regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a compliance advisory role within financial services.
• Deep knowledge of EFTA Reg E and TILA Reg Z/Card Act.
• Experience with card, lending, or payments programs.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end compliance advisory for the AFFIRM Card program.
• Navigate regulatory questions and escalate when warranted.
• Review and approve marketing, disclosures, and UX for compliance.
• Lead root-cause analysis and durable remediation of card issues.
• Support regulatory exams and bank partner audits.
• Maintain compliance risk assessments and control inventories.
• Develop training and reference materials on card regulatory requirements.
• Surface risk early in product lifecycle for new features.
