Job summary

Hylant in Minnesota seeks an Account Executive, a senior leader within the captive account management team. You will oversee client relationships, develop talent, manage performance, and drive operational excellence, serving as a strategic advisor to captive insurance clients.

You will lead a team of account managers, guide governance and financial performance, present results to boards, and expand services through retention, proposals, and industry thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• CPA, CPCU, ACIA, ARM, ACI, or other relevant professional designations preferred.
• Experience leading captive insurance, auditing, risk management, or captive management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, engage, and manage a team of account managers in all talent functions including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, career development, and performance management ensuring teams have the support and resources needed to meet or exceed business objectives.
• Serve as the executive relationship manager and trusted advisor for assigned captive clients, providing strategic guidance on operations, governance, financial performance, insurance, and long-term objectives.
• Lead client, board, and stakeholder meetings, presenting financial and operational results while driving informed decision‑making.
• Oversee complex client engagements, proactively resolving escalated issues and identifying opportunities to enhance client value and service delivery.
• Drive operational excellence through process improvements, best practices, quality standards, and consistent achievement of service and compliance deadlines.
• Provide executive oversight of financial reporting, regulatory filings, risk management activities, and domicile compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with auditors, actuaries, legal counsel, regulators, and other service providers to support client and regulatory objectives.
• Support business growth through client retention and expansion efforts, proposal development, prospect engagement, industry participation, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
