Job summary

BJCC is seeking a Senior Capital Projects Manager in Birmingham, AL to oversee capital improvement projects from design through handover. You will manage budgets, schedules, and performance, coordinating with accounting, IT, and facilities management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a strong background in construction project management, contracts, and team leadership, with flexibility for extended hours and local travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in multi-discipline construction PM and design work.
• Bachelor’s degree in building science or engineering preferred.
• Certifications such as CMP, PgMP, CAPM preferred.
• Alabama driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage BJCC capital improvement projects from design to completion.
• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and status reports.
• Lead and develop the Projects Department team and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and consultants on plans and specifications.
• Assist in bid documents and supplier/subcontractor negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and quality standards.
