Job summary

Qualifications

• Ten years of multi‑discipline construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in building science or engineering preferred (or equivalent).
• Drafting ability strongly preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CMP, PgMP, or CAPM are desirable.
• Valid Alabama driver's license is required.
• Excellent organization, time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish, approve and manage the capital project budget with regular status reports.
• Lead the capital projects team and drive performance against schedule and budget.
• Oversee project scope from design through handover to executives and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects and consultants on plans and specs.
• Develop bid documents and support the bid and selection process.
• Conduct cost analyses, risk assessments and mitigation recommendations.
• Act as liaison among BJCC, customers, vendors and public partners.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards and practices.
