Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Technical Designer for New Glenn in the Greater Seattle area. You will design and draft aerospace hardware, focusing on propellant management and tunnel systems, with opportunities to lead CAD work and contribute to safety-critical spaceflight programs.

Responsibilities include maintaining drawings, ensuring data integrity, and mentoring peers. A background in manufacturing-ready design and strong CAD discipline is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an A.S. degree, or equivalent years of experience.
• 7+ years of recent experience designing/drafting aerospace structures.
• Hands-on hardware experience on production floor or in service.
• Experience with Creo and Windchill; PDM familiarity helpful.
• Strong mechanical design and integration using 3-D CAD.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and revise released drawings based on engineering change requests.
• Design and maintain product definition with layouts and drawings; resolve discrepancies.
• Apply standards to plan, lay-out, and maintain engineering data.
• Implement standards to balance cost, schedule, and performance.
• Support data organization and naming conventions for product structure.
• Self-prioritize and schedule work to support the team.
• Assist in drafting standards development and checks.
• Collaborate with design and analysis teams to disposition issues.
