Blue Origin is seeking a CAD Drafter III to advance complex ground support equipment designs for New Glenn launch operations. You will produce 3D models, 2D drawings, and MBD data using Creo Parametric 12 and Windchill PLM, owning design tasks and collaborating across mechanical, fluid, and electrical disciplines.

The role emphasizes engineering change management, hands-on drafting leadership, and mentoring junior team members within the Ground Support Development group. U.S.

Formación

• AS or BS degree in a related field per minimum qualifications.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical design role.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill PLM.
• Experience creating fabrication and installation drawings for complex assemblies.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41.
• Experience with PLM workflows and engineering change processes.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsabilidades

• Own complex design tasks, subsystems, and datasets using Creo Parametric 12 and Windchill PLM.
• Develop and maintain Model-Based Definition (MBD) datasets and advocate their adoption.
• Lead mechanical/structural design, including steel frameworks and lifting/rigging systems.
• Design fluid systems with piping routes and P&ID support using Creo extensions.
• Lead electrical design including enclosures, cable routing, and 3D integration.
• Manage large CAD assemblies with advanced techniques and topology changes.
• Author Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Change Notices in Windchill.
• Mentor junior drafters and perform release reviews.
