Job summary

Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) is seeking a skilled engineer to design, build, and improve Stellar Core—the backbone of the Stellar Network. You will work on performance, scalability, and decentralization challenges in a production environment.

You will collaborate with the CTO and open-source community, write RFCs, and own core subsystems while driving important product milestones in a growing, autonomous team. This hybrid role offers strong benefits in the USA.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field.
• 4+ years of experience developing software on a team.
• Proficiency in modern C++ or Rust in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build key components of Stellar Core - the backbone software behind the Stellar Network.
• Design and develop robust, scalable, and extensible technologies that empower developers and network participants.
• Collaborate on architectures and subsystems with CTO and engineers, and contribute to RFC processes.
• Write clean, maintainable code with attention to edge cases and future-proofing.
• Own core subsystems of Stellar Core and drive critical product milestones.
• Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
