Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a talented C# Developer - II for a fully remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. The position requires modern .NET back-end development with C#, REST APIs, and CI/CD practices.

You will work in a cross-functional team on enterprise-scale applications, implement unit tests, and contribute to code quality and security. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of .NET experience and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Expertise in .NET Framework and .NET Core with C#
• Backend development using MVC and .NET Core
• Strong knowledge of OOP and design patterns
• Experience with RESTful APIs and other APIs
• SQL Server and Entity Framework experience
• Familiarity with Azure/AWS cloud services
• Version control with Git and TFS/TFVC
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools
• Unit testing with NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest
• Proficiency with Visual Studio and VS Code

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, requirements definition, and test planning
• Develop full-stack solutions using .NET and C# in a CI/CD workflow
• Collaborate in an Agile environment and participate in daily stand-ups
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Provide development support for solutions in production
• Mentor junior developers and promote good engineering practices
• Document software designs and interface with stakeholders
• Work with IDEs like Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git
