Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an experienced C# Developer - II for a remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs environment. The position requires strong .NET skills, MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, cloud familiarity, and a track record of delivering enterprise-grade software.

You will work within an Agile team, participate in CI/CD pipelines, and help mentor junior developers while ensuring high performance and quality across applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development using .NET technologies.
• Experience with MVC architecture and .NET Core.
• Strong OOP and design pattern knowledge.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and other APIs.
• SQL Server/Entity Framework design and development.
• Cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS) and services.
• Version control with Git and TFS/TFVC.
• CI/CD practices and tools (AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy).
• Unit testing with NUnit, xUnit or MSTest; VS / VS Code proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, requirements definition, test planning and execution.
• Develop .NET back-ends, unit tests, and CI/CD deployment support.
• Collaborate in daily stand-ups and Agile development processes.
• Ensure performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
• Interface with stakeholders for project requirements.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices.
• Document software designs and data flows.
• Apply modularization, test automation, and clean coding practices.
